چکیده

We analyze the higher-twist effects and the SU(3)-flavour symmetry breaking in the correlation functions used to calculate form factors of pseudoscalar mesons in the QCD light-cone sum rule approach. It is shown that the Ward identities for these correlation functions yield relations between twist-4 twoand three-particle distribution amplitudes. In addition to the relations already obtained from the QCD equations of motions, we have found a new one. With the help of these relations, the twist-4 contribution to the light-cone sum rule for the pion electromagnetic form factor is reduced to a very simple form. Simultaneously, we correct a sign error in the earlier calculation. The updated light-cone sum rule prediction for the pion form factor at intermediate momentum transfers is compared with the recent Jefferson Lab data. Furthermore, from the correlation functions with strange-quark currents the kaon electromagnetic form factor and the K → π weak transition form factors are predicted with O(ms) ∼ O(m 2 K) accuracy. on leave from Yerevan Physics Institute, 375036 Yerevan, Armenia

Hyperon-nucleon coupling from QCD sum rules

In understanding the dynamics of kaon-nucleon scattering or the strangeness content of the nucleon using hadronic models, it is important to know the hadronic coupling constants involving the kaons. Among them, gNKΛ and gNKΣ are the most relevant coupling constants. To determine these couplings using the QCD sum rules [1] one can follow two different approaches: a) the two-point function, where...

Model-Independent Results for SU(3) Violation in Twist-3 Light-Cone Distribution Functions

Abstract Using chiral symmetry we investigate the leading SU(3) violation in the complete set of quark twist-3 light-cone distribution functions of the pion, kaon, and eta, including the two-parton distributions φpM , φ σ M , and the three-parton distribution φ 3 M . It is shown that terms non-analytic in the quark masses do not affect the shape, and only appear in the normalization constants. ...

Bπ Couplings in Qcd

We calculate the D∗Dπ and B∗Bπ couplings using QCD sum rules on the lightcone. In this approach, the large-distance dynamics is incorporated in a set of pion wave functions. We take into account two-particle and three-particle wave functions of twist 2, 3 and 4. The resulting values of the coupling constants are gD∗Dπ = 12.5 ± 1 and gB∗Bπ = 29± 3. From this we predict the partial width Γ(D∗+ → ...

Pion distribution amplitude – from theory to data

We describe the present status of the pion distribution amplitude as originated from two sources: (i) a nonperturbative approach, based on QCD sum rules with nonlocal condensates, and (ii) a NLO QCD analysis of the CLEO data on Fγγ ∗π(Q2), supplemented by the E791 data on diffractive dijet production, and the JLab F(pi) data on the pion electromagnetic form factor. 1. PION DISTRIBUTION AMPLITUD...

∆πN coupling constant in light cone QCD sum rules

We employ the light cone QCD sum rules to calculate ∆πN coupling constant by studying the two point correlation function between the vacuum and the pion state. Our result is consistent with the traditional QCD sum rules calculations and it is in agreement with the experimental value. ∗[email protected][email protected]
